Arts and Craft House Volunteers

Are you good with your hands and with kids? Are you a maker who wants to share your passion? We need you in the Arts and Craft House at Gales Creek Camp!

Opportunities to directly engage with camper artists and/or behind the scenes support. The goal is fun for everyone and NO stress. The kids are easy to work with (and an extra treat: tater tots for lunch!).

No art talent or experience necessary. Our projects are designed for success, no matter what your art background.

You as well as the camper artists will learn to tap into your hidden abilities of balance and color. And to experiment in a no judgement, why not, let’s give it a try environment. We give suggestions and tips, but the artist always has the final say. As a team member, you are not alone. “Let’s get another opinion” is always there for you.

If you can use a zip tie, glue, wire cutters, tape, a wet paper towel, and do not hate micro glitter, you are qualified. If you can use a Dremel to drill a hole, you are our dream volunteer! PLEASE feel free to bring your Dremel and bits.

If you like to help find that perfect piece from a table of possibilities, you want this experience! Garage sale devotees, this is your opportunity for free fun.

Have you ever seen Sting Ray teeth or Shark vertebrae? Do not miss GCC Camp Art 2018! How about South African Porcupine quills? You can learn about the differences between South African and North American po’pine quills.
