Gales Creek Camp only works because of the generous support of many, many people, organizations and businesses. Some of this support comes in surprising and unusual ways. Below is an ever-changing select list of those relationships.
Every donation to Gales Creek Camp reaches the children we serve in some way. We are grateful to everyone who supports this camp!
Ongoing Campership Funds
The Martin Family Campership Fund. A generous legacy gift, in memory of Scott Martin, from the Martin Family to our Endowment Fund, sending 6-8 campers to camp each year, in perpetuity.
Dr. Jim Nadal Memorial Camperships. An ongoing legacy from the family of our former Camp Doc and pediatric endocrinologist.
Camp Angels. This small foundations funds camperships all over the country. We are proud to be on their list!
Corporate Support
B.U.L.L Session International Charity Events. The B.U.L.L. (Business Union and Labor Leaders) Session is the Northwest’s premier charity event. The two days of fundraising events, attended by many of the area’s most prestigious leaders, features a dinner and auction gala, as well as a golf tournament at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club. The BULL Session fundraisers account for a significant portion of the funds Gales Creek Camp raises each year, and therefore the events are critical to the success of the camp. Hundreds of children attend camp each year directly because of the donors who give at the BULL Session events.
IPD USA. Gales Creek Camp was chosen by IPD USA as beneficiary of their annual "Garage Sale" event. This fun annual event, which features a Volvo specific car show and a "garage sale" from their warehouse for Volvo enthusiasts, is an all-around great way to kick off the summer. The Gales Creek Camp team will be there with free t-shirts and swag for campers and families who stop by our tent. So come out, see some cars, see your friends, hear some music, and let the good times roll. Food trucks will be onsite, too. Huge thanks to IPD USA for choosing Gales Creek Camp for this honor! We are grateful for the support!
Saturn Stickers. We love stickers and so does Jonathan at Saturn Stickers. He is so good and is so generous to camp. Get yourself some custom stickers!
The Amazing Lions Clubs
We receive support from many, many Lions Clubs in Oregon and Southwest Washington throughout the year. Some sponsor campers, some some provide in-kind supplies, some donate their valuable time at camp--and some do all three! Special thanks to the Junction City Lions. Not only does this club regularly sponsor up to 10 campers a year to go to camp, they also buy us stuff like art supplies, basketballs, sunscreen, and pool floaties! The Bentham Lions Club, who come to camp each year to repair and refurbish (our rebuild!) our outdoor wood furniture, from picnic tables and benches to ping pong tables. Not only that, they've created and donated birdhouse and bat house kits for campers to build for sevaral years in a row! Then they come out and help the campers nail them together! The St. Helens Lions and the Salmon Creek Lions always visit camp in person to help clean up, and they often donate equipment, like benches and wheelbarrows, for the cause.
